I launched Epic History TV in 2015 to offer a new kind of history documentary, aimed at today's online audience – short, dramatic, and full of facts, for fellow history nerds, students and casual viewers alike. 

History has been my lifelong passion. I was raised on Greek myths and Arthurian legends, and spent my childhood clambering over ruined castles. Later I went to the University of Edinburgh, got an M.A. in History, then worked at the History Channel for many years, where I was lucky enough to write and produce documentaries such as Blood & Bullets: The Story of Military Medicine, Cutty Sark: Out of the Ashes, Soviet Storm: WW2 in the East, Lifeboat Heroes and Auschwitz: Journey into Hell. 

Since leaving the History Channel in 2013, I’ve had a hand in several more documentaries including Eight Days That Made Rome and WW2: Battles for Europe.

I research, write and animate all Epic History TV videos myself. They're great fun to make, but do cost money and take a huge amount of time.
